Book Your Adventure

Our ‘Lisbon & Cascais Adventure Holiday’ package offers the best of both worlds; wandering through the cobbled streets and squares of Lisbon whilst taking in the historic skyline, as well as catching rays on a beach-day combined with SUP, Surf and Coasteering activities.
The fancy little beach towns Cascais & Estoril are just a short train ride away from the Portuguese capital, which makes it a great base-camp for accommodation and outdoor fun. Both beach towns are connected by a beautiful urban coastline with a promenade that offers lots of restaurants and bars. But It wouldn’t be a Big Blue adventure without watersports. Guincho is one of Portugal’s best surf-spots, Cascais’ harbour is waiting to be explored by stand up paddleboard, and hidden gem Sesimbra comes with dramatic rock formations for you to jump from.

Choose between a boutique beach hostel or a private villa (perfect for groups), both top quality accommodation options. When you’re ready, request a ‘quote’ to book an adventure that fits your group or individual experience.

1. Activities

The area around Lisbon has lovely beaches with a consistent swell (EDP Billabong Cascais World Surf League 2017 was held here!). Depending on conditions we surf at Guincho, Carcavellos, Costa Da Caparica and for more experienced surfers Praia Grande is also an option.

  • A surf-lesson is app. 2 hours, incl. training on the beach. For the full experience book a double surf-lesson. This gives you more time in the water to practise your newly learned skills
  • Surfcamps are also available! Enjoy a full week of surf-lessons and see how quickly you can learn
  • Want to improve your surf skills? We can help by filming your session and analysing the areas where you can improve
  • Surf-lessons include experienced instructor + equipment
  • Wetsuit & Board hire available
  • ⇒ Click here for more info on surfing in Lisbon
At walking distance from our accommodation there are plenty of SUP possibilities. Stand Up Paddleboarding is one of the fastest growing watersports and with good reason! It’s an easy sport to pick up and not only is it a great (core) work-out, it is also a really fun way to explore Cascais’ Bay.

  • Beginner SUP lessons usually last 2/3 hours exploring the harbour
  • If you’ve already had a beginner lesson, why not try our SUP tours? App. 2/3 hours
  • Try the Giant SUP if you’re with a group, how well can you work together?
  • Combine being active with feeling zen; SUP Yoga
  • Add some extra fun: Stand Up Paddleboarding + treasure hunt or race relay
  • A session includes experienced instructor and equipment
  • ⇒ Click here for more info on paddleboarding in Lisbon
A thrilling outdoor activity invented in Wales and rapidly growing abroad. Coasteering is jumping from cliffs into the big blue, scrambling across the coastline, playing with the swell and exploring caves. App. 45 min drive to Arrabida National Park, but a drive that is 100% worth it! You won’t find many adventures that can live up to coasteering in Portugal.

  • A coasteering session is app. 3/4 hours incl. kitting up (no experience needed)
  • Activity includes experienced instructors + all equipment needed
  • ⇒ Click here for more info on coasteering in Sesimbra
Why not add beach yoga to your surf or SUP activities? A fun and relaxed way to warm up before- or cool down after your adventure on the water. We’ve also got an awesome secret spot in Estoril with stunning sea views, it doesn’t get much more zen than this!

  • Not very flexible? Don’t worry, neither are we! It’s good to try something new, our yoga classes are accessible for complete beginners as well as more experienced
  • Our Beach Yoga classes are app. 1 hour
  • SUP Yoga also available!
  • ⇒ Click here for more info on Beach Yoga
Explore the Sintra Mountains, Guincho coastline or Lisbon on a guided mountain bike tour. Choose between electric or regular mountain bikes. Electric mountain bikes make it easy for all fitness levels to enjoy the stunning ‘tropical forest’ scenery of Sintra, even up hill!

  • Most mountain bike tours are tailor made to your wishes
  • Our most popular choice is the half-day tour
  • Lunch at local restaurant or packed lunch can be included
  • ⇒ Click here for more info on Mountain Biking in Lisbon & Cascais
A really unique and definitely awesome way of exploring this part of Portugal is by Tuk Tuk. We offer Tuk Tuk Tours in Lisbon city centre as well as Sintra (UNESCO World Heritage Site). Picture small Tuk Tuks up to 6 people, cruising through all the little streets and up steep hills (saves you from walking all the way), whilst taking in local knowledge from your driver.

  • Sintra offers fairy tale castles, like Pena Palace & the Moorish Castle, and stunning natural areas. We love taking you off the beaten track and try the local cuisine (BBQ + homemade wine)
  • Track from Belem (where the famous Pastéis De Belém; custard tarts are made) to Alfama, the historic centre of Lisbon. From there walk up to Castelo Sao Jorge for an incredible view of the capital’s skyline
  • Perfect for large groups (imagine a whole crew of Tuk Tuks) as well as couples and families
Experiencing the best of Portugal doesn’t just stop here, we offer a range of other outdoor activities like dolphin watching, sea-kayaking and rock-climbing. For more fun in Lisbon & Cascais check our Outdoor Activities Portugal page.

Why We Love This...

"We love exploring Lisbon because it has countless small streets, discovering new little bars and restaurants each time we visit. Staying in Estoril or Cascais makes it more than just another city trip, combining culture & night life with outdoor activities. Coasteering in the Arrabida NP is a must, so much fun with zip-lines & abseiling. Visiting Sintra should be on your bucket-list to as it's one of those relatively unknown places that will blow your mind!"
